What stands out here is how often teams treat dropped balls like “one-offs” instead of what they really are — signals that the operating system underneath isn’t doing its job. In GTM O.S. work, this is the gap we see everywhere: teams know what good looks like, they just don’t have the forcing functions that make good happen every time, not just on a good week.

Pipeline hygiene, speed-to-lead, demo prep… none of these are exotic problems. They’re symptoms of a system that relies on memory and heroics instead of rhythm and accountability.

And the best part? You don’t need perfection to win — just fewer dropped balls than the other guy. 😉
